Our trip to the ring.
Is about like minded people out on a driving trip having fun in their cars.
We generally convoy down to the Nurburg area and stay in a hotel that is close to the Nurburgring.
Yes the ring is open to the public on the days that we are staying.
On the trip when the ring is open to the public it becomes a
"Public Toll Road" which means your pay 30 euros go to the barrier and off you go on a site seeing trip, commonly known as a TF (touristenfahrten day)
its not a race track and should be treated as such.
Although most of the road is unrestricted as to how fast you go.
Its not all about the ring though the local area has some great scenery and some very nice driving roads.
