Not seen that issue with Vredestein before but its not the Sessantas which are the ones i'd go for. I've been looking for tyres in the same size as you (225/45/17) for the wife's Peugeot 308 diesel and the cheapest i've found them is:

Then add £12-15 per corner for fitting at a garage of your choice.
