I agree totally about the cartoony effect and it only works on certain things.

The "grunge" function in photomatix is very weird for sure.

I think it will work well on cars, as you have shown. You do though, as you said, need to find the right location for it.

Thats a very nice HDR shot by the way did you process in photomatix?
