I'll put a better report together later, but the drive down to Calais was as good if not better than with my WRX, partly due to the cruise control saving my feet. I even managed to use about the same amount of fuel as with the WRX but I was being pretty frugal by using the cruise control. And then there's the ride once I crossed the Channel - how does anyone drive something like the STI in Kent? Crashing about on the country roads from Ashford to Tunbridge Wells, and some major ones was an eye-opener, and I almost missed a gear change at one point. I always felt it was harsher to drive the WRX in the UK than in Luxembourg, but not to this extreme.
