Update,

Engine running and road tested by Glenn (engine builder) no issues. Just need MOT done prior to collection but before I do I would value your opinions please on the following as I want it sorted whilst the car is still with them.

The front nearside shock is leaking (previously advised by SMD after the Wagon`s last service before I bought it) and confirmed again by Carnetix.

The questions are what to do on the scale of cost versus the benefits?
  • Replace front 2 like for like (must do?)?
  • Replace all 4(nice to do?)?
  • Upgrade to coilovers (would like to do but £££`s)?
A quick look at prices, replacing all 4 with a known make is not a million miles away from a set of BC`s. for example imo.

Am I right to assume that any replacement on the 3 options that the geometry should be done as well?

Bearing in mind I don`t have the final cost for the build but let`s just say its enough and the car is a keeper at this moment in time I would appreciate any advice

Cheers,
Steve
