It might be worth un-doing your good work with a clay bar to try and remove the wax. I'm not a paint expert though, sure some guys on here will know more  |
Rookie mistake by me, should've checked, spoke to painter, he's said not to worry it'll be fine, it all depends which type of paint gets used, some set longer than others, some have chemicals that react and hardens very fast, lucky on this one.
