Bit late to the party sorry.
I think it is a WRX - and with catback is shouldnt need a remap, although wouldnt hurt to have a check up to be sure, just in case fuel pump faulty or maf or vac hose issue etc.
If you intend modding it further then worth waiting.. if you dont intend adding more mods (decat, sports cat etc) then you could have it mapped and will gain power, torque and safety.
Sti UK ecu will only fit sti uk, wrx uk will fit wrx uk, sti jdm will fit sti jdm etc..
