Nice and clean and from what I can tell......genuine.
As u know have been trawling all the classifieds for quite a few months now, and enquired about quite a few.

The good thing these days is you can get alot of info emailed over which saves a wasted journey.

It's amazing how many owners some of these 4 year old cars have had.

Done 600 miles last Friday looking at 2 grey ones. Was going to be 3 but the 3rd turned out to be Crystal rather the Urban Grey.

This one is 2 Owners the 1st one being a Subaru dealer in Chesterfield, who put the PPP on it.

Obviously not as clean as i am used too, but it has good potential.

I'm sure it won't take much to get it to 'Scott clean'

We were only saying today that you'd gone a bit quiet

Enjoy it mate

LOL yeh did try and keep the activities of the last week off the forum.

What I have to keep telling myself tho' is that it took a number of years to get the classic where it was, not hours/weeks.

Oh !! and polish and de-greaser are cheap and need to keep me happy for a bit. Defi's, 9x18's and 3" decats are not and will have to wait.

Torque of the 2.5 is nice, espesh on the motorway in 6th at 80.
Exhaust is too quiet as get too much engine/valvetrain noise....I remember when my classic was like this.

Handling is superb 'out of the box' and very solid/planted, makes the classic feel positively agricultural...never thought I'd say that.

It will be getting remapped but not until I can afford a 3" decat and RCM induction kit.

I test drove a Bob Rawle re-mapped one back to back with this one (well within an hour) and I was really suprised how the mapped one went over the Yorkshire dales I was testing it on.....so I have seen the potential

I don't think so, think it's locked...but will try.
Only got it back at 3:00pm today and already stuck new pads on the front (had a spare set in the garage).

On the RE070 point. I hated them while I had them, the car used to tramline all over the place and changing them for Goodyear F1's made a big difference to the ride, BUT....... the RE's are simply brilliant in the dry when pushing on a bit. The goodyears didnt hold a candle to them.

It's only £33 a month, some people pay more than that for a mobile phone contract.

Cheers Shane, I hadn't thought about it like that. That makes it alot more bearable.

Well, it was either £460 for the Scoob or cheaper Road Tax on an Audi 1.8TDi S-Line.

It took a good few months to decide to stick with the scoob.
I just couldn't bring myself to walk away from all you loverley people
