Default Supercar Sunday, Goodwood - Sunday 1st May

1st May is Supercar Sunday down at Goodwood. Always gets a great turnout, and best of all - its free to everyone.

Event runs 8am - 12pm, but we'll probably aim to get there about 7:45am and see if we can get on circuit as a club (managed this last year). Wander around the paddock areas, have a bacon roll and a coffee and enjoy looking at the vast array of supercars on display.
http://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfast-...ts/bc-may.aspx

If enough people are interested, we can follow the Goodwood meet with a pub lunch at the Anchor Bleu pub, Bosham. We would be leaving Goodwood about 11:30am to get to the pub for 12pm.

Not got the exact time for this to hand but it will be around 2pm HW @ Bosham so parking will be a little tight! There's a few other good pub options in this area if needed, e.g.
The Fox Goes Free (Charlton) - The Old Stables (Fontwell), The Woodmans Arms (Angmering), The Crown and Anchor (Dell Quay), The World's End ( Patching), The Fox (Patching).

Cheers for the info Nick

If high tide is at 2pm then its probably cutting it too fine for the Anchor Bleu! Considering how high it does get down there, the water will be lapping round the wheels before we've even started to eat!

Can you get any more accurate info on this now Nick?

Had a look at some prediction sites and they seem to suggest that HW will be at 10-10:30am at Bosham on 1st May?

High Water : 10:09
Low Water : 15:33

We may have to see how it goes. If we get there at 11:45 to be sure of a seat in the pub the tide may just be low enough to park on the bay road.

Just noticed the above seem to be for Portsmouth.
Chichester Harboutr times state HT at 11:19
Bring ya wellies....LOL

My black/yellow shoes are size 8. You are welcome to wear them for the duration of the meet if they will fit you. Let me know Steve!!

We can skip the fact that you don't have a wagon. You can stand next to ours!!

Just spotted this!!! Subarman's shoes are blue and yellow.

F.Off Krud Simpleton's shoes are black/yellow.

Which do you want to wear?

OK, we'll run to these times for meeting points:

BP, Patcham roundabout (A23/A27 interchange) - 7:00am sharp, to leave by 5 past.
BP, Crossbush services (Arundel) - 7:30am.
Arrival at Goodwood just before 8am.

Anyone fancy a proper fryup when we arrive this time before wandering around? The morning hot dog costs a fiver, so the £8 (i think) isn't that bad value really.... its Goodwood after all

Yes, although I have to drop off the kids first so if I'm running slightly late I'll have to cut through and meet you at Arundel. Hope the weather will be good on the day! Look forward to seeing you

Bump for tomorrow! If weathers anything like today, it'll be a cracker.

I've looked on the tide websites again and high tide at Bosham is 10:33am. Might be possible to park on the front, not sure how quickly it will drop and whether it'll be low enough by 12pm. If not, we'll park in the village car park (does anyone know if this is free or Pay & Display?)

Just to confirm - 7:00am sharp at BP Patcham roundabout, then 7:30am at BP Crossbush. See you all tomorrow

Great meet....sorry didn't go to lunch chaps.

Some amazing cars present.....the new Konigsegg, at least 3 new Ferrari GTO's, zonda, porsches and other ferraris common as muck, very busy turnout. Some strange decisions on who to let into the pits/main straight but hey ho.
