Default Whoops.

So today my job was finding the source of a little water leak in the boot. The spare wheel well had become a bit of a puddle and removing the coach bolt that held the wheel down turned into a bit of a fight.

So I went at it with a can of shock and unlock and some grips, then this happened....

So I'll have to be drilling that out now. Bugger.

But on the upside, I found the source of the leak and sorted that!

Other one to watch for is the seal around the boot, pull it off, dry the joint and add some non-drying sealant. Also make sure the pockets either side are dry both in the jack panel and the opposite one.

Good to see this. I've had a leak in my boot for a while now and am running out of ideas. I've had a new seal fitted, new bolts and washers fitted on the spoiler, spoiler re-sealed to boot but I still have a bloody leak!

Talking of water features - when I released the spare wheel slightly, water literally p!ssed out of the draining hole. The wheel must have possibly been held down too tight and blocked it?

And yup, my leak turned out to be the classic rear light cluster leak - I'll be replacing the boot rubber liner too, for good measure.
