Default Brand new Karts - Brooklands

Hey all , thought I'd shout this hear for all you local petrolheads

Brooklands kart track in Lancing has bought all new Karts , happened over there yesterday

I find the track much too small etc but took the kids out there yesterday as they are young and love it

Have to say the geo and the handling on these Karts is a thing of real beauty - think they're 200cc and the tracks far from hi speed but well worth the trip to locals ATM while the Karts are set up so nicely - you know before the engine starts just by locking the steering wheel to and fro these things are going to corner something special and I was quite impressed

It's the handling that has to be experienced but the guy now running it also seems to be into competitive racing so can't wait to nip back with a few fast mates very soon for a giggle

Has anyone had a go at electric karts? I actually found them more fun than petrol, being a bit of a 'big boy' I loved the extra torque they gave out of corners. They can also be remote speed controlled in the event of a crash or yellow flag.

Dave, they are just in the middle of reversing the circuit at the moment... We'll have to go and try it out soon!

Loved Brooklands as a kid, glad to see they've invested in these. Worthing has lost quite a few family attractions over the years and gained lots of Tescos and flats instead!

There's also a good indoor one on Lancing industrial estate as well.
