OEM clutch has not been right since the Nurburgring trip, and has lasted 40k, about half of which at 300 plus bhp/torque, so it was time for an upgrade.
I took Dave Hollamby's advice, and had the following fitted: Exedy fast-road single plate organic clutch kit (40% increase in clamping load) RCM 715 lightweight steel forged flywheel I can highly recommend this combo if you want to retain OEM driveability and feel. The pedal pressure is a tiny bit heavier but allows for very smooth operation in traffic. Makes the car feel very "robust" for want of a better word! The flywheel seems to allow much better spool up, especially affecting pick up through the gears. And no change to tickover characteristics. I am very happy anyway!!!! I have fallen in love with th car all over again! The cold weather helps, obviously! ![]()
