Default Oil filter differences

is there a huge difference in these 3 filters apart from the obvious like size brand price and colour?

Black oem Subaru ones are fine. You can get them from import car parts cheaper on ebay, and they include the sump washer too (RCM don't).

we do std BLACK subaru filters at £12.50 incl. sump washers......

never inspected the PINK STi version but certainly the modified RCM one is different to the std BLK and have seen some interesting oil pressure logs of varying filters on a WRC engine and the RCM perofrmed pretty much the best overall

we can also normally help out with RCM pricing

Oil pressure changes from a oil filter. What the hell. Never thought that would happen. Do you think it's worth buying the rcm filtration then? What's the pro's?

some of the results just confirmed why i wouldn't use "cheap" type brands

the uprated RCM (and the Pink STi) are probably overkill for a general road car but do offer some % extra safety for competition/track use although the BLACK Subaru one is no slouch (and the BLUE Subaru isn't far behind either, despite the "keyboard stories" although i would only use for a road car)
