Thanks guys, going to head to Hallandale as its minutes away and if it doesn't serve all day then carry on to the Toby at Eastbourne.

Last time we went to the pub down Eastbourne where Keith's daughter worked, it was fantastic, but they don't do a roast .

God I'm hungry

The Bottle House Inn in Penshurst is excellent, especially for a Sunday roast. The mixed roast has chicken, beef and pork but each in the same quantity that you would get if you were to order them on their own. Service is always good too, but you will need to book for Sunday otherwise there isn't a hope of getting in.

The Newmarket still open? thought that place had closed down, the petrol station nextdoor to it looks like a derelict bombsite!

Went to the Newmarket Inn a couple of years back and had the 'light bite' burger, it was only about a fiver and was like a full on meal, so great value.

Agree though it doesn't look too attractive with the old petrol station next door, they must hate that............

Another vote for the Bottle House Inn. Great food and reasonable prices. They used to do a 2 for 1 offer in the weekday afternoons which was great for us retired types

The Bottle House is great, my recommendations for a cracking Sunday Roast would be.....

1: Buxted Inn
2: Mark Cross Inn
3: The Huntsman

You won't go wrong with any of those at all, spot on grub
