Facelift classic front bumper removal how to?

Anyone got a how to, or at least point me in the direction of where all the fixings are and any hidden sneaky type ones to look out for ?.

Not that it really needs it, but I fancy having a go at painting both front and rear bumpers myself to make perfect. But I would want to take them off to do the job well. So any pointers welcome.

Must be old hat to some of you guys/girls fitting front mounts, engine builds etc.

As i have just refitted the front on mine after the little miss-hap it is easy Rob here's the pic i used


You need to take the lights and grill off the there is 5 plastic clips along the top(no.3) and 2 at each end fixing it to the wings 2 bolts at the front(no.14) on the bottom edge/1 in the center(no.9) and 2 large clips that fix the inner guard/brake duct.If you get stuck give me a shout i can pop up and show you.You may want to get new clips before you start as all mine broke as they were so brittle but i have all the part numbers The back one from what i can see is much the same but as you have to fight the lights out and all that black goo i just had it machine polished looks as good as new.

with british roads the way they are, just drive for about 10 miles and it will fall off on its own lol

We had a mission getting the one off my 95 WRX. There was one hidden bolt, couldn't find the bugger for ages

Thanks for the info Wez and offer of help if needs be. I need to be bored one weekend to tackle this, and no rush. So might order up some new fixings in anticipation of doing this and just in case.
