I think this is the one where they got some upgrade bits from Jap Performance parts, or so I heard. Will be interesting to see what they do with it anyway. Aparantly it gets mapped.

Just watched it on youtube, as worzel said think saj came out of it pretty well, but dont really like what they done to it not my cup of tea tbh, i like the way they say in the beginning though when there looking for one "this one hasnt been ruined by any bolt on lights or nasty paint jobs" then they go and stick "ac cobra stripes" down it and at the end thrash it round a track.

Yeah I'm not too keen at all on how they made it look at all. It kind of had the undercover look going with no wing or sti bits, then they paint the wheels black and stick stripes on it! Also think they could have got a bit more ooomph out of it, although they couldn't really rip the cat off.

Quite an interesting watch.....
Ditch the stripes and swap the headlights.....black wheels looked good onthe silver car.
Power was about right for a cat'd car and a TD04, about the same power as the PPP would of been for that year.

cheers for the links, also just watched that.

agree that the wheels and brembos were a good move. was expecting a custom remap to give a bit more, my PPP bug made 250 on a generic map (altho i guess the PPP removed the centre cat).

but seriously, what were they doing with the stripes?

Anybody recognise the mapper - I have no idea who/where they were?

Would have been interesting to See Mike and Ed's reactions to Charlies!

I also didn't recognise the mapper, no idea who that was.

At 240bhp the standard one would be fine. I'm sure the PPP didn't include a fuel pump change on the WRXs either - and they made the same (or slightly more) power.

Don't think it looks right with black wheels and no suspension personally.
