Default Diff P0rn :P

parts finaly turned up from japan today. 5 minuites later, fitted:-

For those that aint seen one before, this is a beatrush (Laile) rear diff brace. I can hear the diff whine a little more now (More so when I roll off the gas down hill).

the anoying thing is although one of the rear bushes on the back of the diff is completely shagged, this bracket didnt cure the slight knock I get, although it has made a big difference.

it's deffinately not the diff, or the shocks. lateral bushes aint great, but theres no play in them or any of the suspension bushes/joints, or the CV joints so diff subframe lock bolts is my next guess.

Just got one of these, my idea is to stop the diff from twisting under heavy drag launches, I already have sub frame locked out,

Will this help or am I barking up the wrong tree.

thanks
Brad

it will elimate diff twist at the back if you already have the subframe lock, but the front of the diff carrier has 2 bushes that you can also firm up with these.
Basically the two arms that stick out to the side of the car from the front of the diff carrier will have OE bushes. the rings in the link sit neatly in recesses in those bushes which firms them up. The diff carrier should then be ridgid.
You can also go for solid mounts for the centre of the prop shaft to stop that twisting under launches, but I havent found those for sale anywhere yet
