Default Ford Focus RS head gasket failure

Have just read an article re 2016-2017 Ford Focus RS head gasket failure problem. Believe Ford have issued a statement to all RS owners, I guess Steve will know more about this.

It’s been circulating the forums for a while. It seems Ford are about to issue a statement and possible recall but nothing confirmed yet. Mine is a later one so hopefully ok but it’s warrantied for 5 years so if it goes it goes.

Just like having a hawk all over again!!!

It’s all MK3’s it’s affecting. Guesstimates are about 5% of global cars have failed that seems to be rising though as on the forums there are more being added. I guess as the miles go on there may be more. Mine seems fine, but wait and see I suppose. There is now a fix in place for the cars that have gone and it’s expected a recall for all of the others. Still loving it though!
