Default PolarPerformance into retirement.....

Well....it's been on my mind for a while now and have decided to stop trading as PolarPerformance and pull out of the engine mapping game.

What started as a hobby and then turned into a business has now become a bit of a drag and not enjoying anymore.
When I'd rather spend the morning lying in bed or spending time with the family rather then earning £250 for 3 hours mapping work, I think it's time to quit.

The chip sales which were the bread and butter, just aren't selling anymore due to the vast amount of other 'suppliers !!!!!' on ebay.

I will not entertain selling at their prices (£40 a pop), especially when I am registered with HMRC as a sole trader, have to document everything, pay additional tax, additional NI and fill the SA form in every year.

The fire on Martyn's car gave a heavy hit on the last nail in the coffin and the new role I have taken on at my 'real job' means I am spending alot more time away from home travelling around europe, which makes the weekends all the more important for the family.

This will give me more time with the family, more time to get to meets, more time to clean the car...and you never know I might put that Turbo on........

I will however continue to support existing customers should they need it, or require map adjustments.
Any future business enquiries will be referred to Simon @ JGM.

Damn, i suppose this is a bad time to ask about a chip for my 95RA then!,
Nige put in a very good word for you not that it was needed as you have a very very good reputation.
I totally understand what you mean, if your not enjoying it then its overdue to give it up.

Can't say I blame you mate... try and keep your hand in things, but keep it on a social level and when time and mood takes you. You might feel different in the summer when we have light evenings, and dry weather.
