Default 1st SES Meeting of 2010

The 1st meeting of the year will be on

Sunday 24th January 12.00 hrs at Dunnings Mill, East Grinstead.

http://www.theolddunningsmill.co.uk/...t/pubinfo.html

By popular request this is the 1st meeting on a Sunday.
So hopefully everyone that voted for a Sunday meeting will turn up.( no pressure)

In the past people have said that there is not a children's menu. I have spoken to the pub on this subject, and they have told me that children can eat a half portion of what ever is on the main menu at half price.

So weather permitting and even if its not,the car park will be full up with scooby 4x4s.

Trace there must be some thing you can eat the menu is fairly comprehensive.

http://www.theolddunningsmill.co.uk/...ne/cuisine.php

You could always bring sandwiches and a flask of soup or dont you eat those??

You dont have to eat, the town centre is just down the road that has alternative catering.

Ian
There is not food that is any good for kids even half portions.
I am not saying you need to change location just think we need to make people aware its not really any good for family meet.
Shame they cant do kids stuff, soss and chips that sort of thing.
See you there

I have spoken to them today and all childrens meals are £5.95.
The food is good quality and if it wasnt we would not be there, I do agree it could be a little cheaper.

I have said many times before, please if anyone has any sugestions I am more than willing to consider alternatives.

Oliver had this as a 1/2 price kids meal and it was huge :
The Old Mill beef burger topped with bacon....

They also do chips and skinny fries......surley thats all kids want

Instead of moaning maybe people should suggest an alternative as ian and myself are really struggling to find a location...we only know whats local to us, so if anything is in your region then you 'really' need to tell us.

I was not putting down the venue it looks realy good.I have not had food at any of the places we have had meets just think pub food is always over priced. There are some nice pubs up round the brands hatch area with large car parks we used to have bike club meets up there i will find out the names of the best ones if you want

The Dorset Arms in East Grinstead has just had a refurb, It's quite nice in there now, Food's not bad and it has a big car park at the rear. Would proberbly have to check to see if they would be pleased to have a car park full of noisy cars tho?

Anway, great job the events orginisers are doing, i am sure its a bit of a mission to try and organise such meets. Thanks

I was'nt generaly moaning, its just we took 2 of our children to a meet at Dunnings last year, not only was it quite expensive for a family of 4 to eat but the menu did'nt have suitable meals for children, not all children like chips.. So we left the meet to go elsewhere to eat then came back..

Hi Guys there was a few of us coming from Kent Scoobies but unfortunately it clashes with the Rolling Road shootout against the Evo boys.

Sure a few of us will come along to your next one

Thanks to everyone !!!

That made today's meeting a success.

It was nice meeting some new members and putting faces to names, thanks to Baz for arranging the convoy from PP and those that arrived with Baz, Marcos etc. thanks also to Mortster and familly.

17 scoobs in total , a very good turnout for this time of year, even Stiggy turned up in his scoob which normally doesn't see the light of day untill at least April.

Thanks again, I hope to see you all and more next month Saturday 27th Feb.
