As some of you know, the only part of the car I was not happy with in germany was the suspension setup. Its standard and looks like its on stilts so, upon getting back I have been looking into lowering springs/ARB's etc. Now, as some of you also know, my car will be visiting JRM soon and Jimmy has come up with a deal while my car is with them. BC coilovers supplied and fitted at a very good price.
I am thinking to just go for it, but would be interested to see if anyone has these and what the thoughts are on coilovers instead of changing the springs only. Cheers

From what i hear of the BC coilovers, they are very good. Not heard any bad things about them
Coilovers was one of the next things to do on my scoob before i sold it |

I have heard that they knock alot due to the solid top mounts, there is an update on the latest version to counter this. Big thread on Scoobynet is worth a read if considering going for these. Generally feedback is good regarding performance

James has these on his scoob and they
are great, better ride than lowering springs adjustable and worked a treat at the ring check the pics no body roll at all but on the road the ride isn't harsh at all think they are top ![]() ![]()

I did read that some had knocking a while back, but as Justin said, they have been updated since so not to concerned on that count.

As stated mate, coilovers are a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. They are not the solid and unweildy things that they were for sure.
![]() I can't comment on the BC's, but my cusco zero 2's are the mutts. And not a harsh ride at all. You will love the difference mate. ![]() |

Not sure Tim, he's just come back to me with these as an option instead of springs. Best bet would be to ring him and see what he can do for you. 01797 222281 opt 2 then opt 3.

I have BCs on mine - excellent ride and setup. Love the fact that the springs are not affected by changing ride height.

On the subject of arbs, just thinking of going for a whiteline one and drop links as seem to be reasonable.

With a well setup car you may not need ARB's. When you take your car in talk to Jimmy. He may just advise on a rear.

yep, a lot of people say there's not much point doing the front arb on scoobs. solid droplinks all round and a 24mm rear arb will do the trick

I use a 22mm front, 24 mm rear, works well on a classic

I have just bought the BC ER coil overs for the Project 2.
The ER would prove better *External Reservoir" as you will have a larger oil supply. We have looked into many and were going for the EXE-TC as I have on the P1 but the BC were coming out as good. ![]() ![]() The external reservoirs can be seen here. |
