Hi all, I wondered if I could get some advice on inner wing induction. I have luckily got hold of a Hyperflow FMIC that comes with an inner wing induction kit . I'll be losing the under bonnet air duct as part of the instal, but wondered if you needed to do anything else to get positive air pressure in the wing to aid induction?
My worry is the supply of air as it is a relatively sealed space. Thoughts were to change the STi fog cover to WRX and have a cold air feed into the wing Worzel-style. The only problem with this as far as I could see is that I wanted to start doing track days and they don't like it if you don't have the towing eye fitted. I would appreciate any suggestions as I know a few of you are running inner-wing kits. Thanks ![]() |

Dont worry there is more than it needs air wise just placing it in the inner wing.

I personally like the idea of getting the air in there the way I have. But as said, it's not strictly necessary. I went over the top trying to bullet proof mine.
But mine is not an inner wing set up, hence the reason I have done mine as I have. One question (as I have no idea) when mounted in the wing, is the filter getting ****ted up more of a problem? As I say, not a clue, never seen one in the flesh ![]() |

Thanks for the advice everyone. I guess I'll try the inner wing kit without any extra airflow and see how it goes. Don't know about getting shi@"ed up, but do know of someone that had it mounted at the very bottom of the wing and it didn't like being driven through a flooded road ![]() |

Any reason for going back James? Bigger filter needed for the power you're running?

Mine comes out behind the right fog cover and all I've done is remove the black plastic bit on the cover to give an extra 3 or 4 cms air through it, filter hasn't got wet at all.
