I think the reason for this confusion is because of the limited parking, as well as trying to ascertain the numbers for catering purposes.

I think that the parking is going to be marshaled, so that the people staying longer can perhaps be boxed in by a short stayer.

But I could be completely wrong.( wouldn't be the 1st time)

the reason numbers are required if staying to eat,and not just popping in is the woolpack will need to know how many more staff are required,to cater for people eating,not for parking as im told there is a very large carpark
i hope this clears things up...
