Well volunteered Maybe we should make you wear a hi-vis jacket again

But seriously, it might take a few mods to get 38 cars lined up nicely. It looks like the plot is fairly square so we've got a chance to do whatever we like. Maybe a classic/newage split with unique cars in the middle (BRZ, couple of legacys etc). We'll work it out when we get there i'm sure.

However, when we all get in, please be patient whilst we get cars moved into the right place. Don't park up and abandon your car as we may need it shuffled!

I think your wasting your time trying to 'arrange' 38 cars in that spot by colour/model/special, just too many to even think about an arrangement, IMHO, and it's not a massive area to play with.

The best you could do is have a front line that follows the grass line/verge then do whatever fits behind. Manybe and inverse arc of the front line at the back, then infill with whatevers left and the Gazeebo.

Not me, the gazebo only just fits in the car as it is!

Yeah, a line up by colour would be way too much effort with so many cars. We do need to keep it simple, whether thats a newage/classic split or just decide which cars we want on the front row, and then the rest fill in behind. Gazebo somewhere in the middle and flags at the front at either end of the front row....

The Kent guys are bringing another gazebo to put at the back for extra shelter if we need it and there's space(if it rains the SES gazebo won't help with so many people!). Its signed up as the old Kent Scoobies but they have a generic Subaru banner to hang over the old club logo.

Looking at this image, it looks very small for 38. Especially when you look at the other cars in the photo.
Using those other cars as a size guide I reckon we only have room for 8 along the front row, before we encroach on the adjacent group (our area doesn't go as far at the tree).

Would we be able to run cars up the other side of that access road, to the left of the proposed location ?

I think we'll be alright if we park close together. I've just copied/pasted the white car from the bottom corner of the map image (check out my Paint Shop Pro skills ) and fitted 38 cars in with space to spare in the middle:

The grass on the other side of the road is inaccessible as I'm sure it has a low wooden fence round the edge.

Great job with the photo Steve, but you could have made the cars different colours and at least one in red

No idea, it was just a guess to give some sense of scale on the plot.

Might work quite well though The advantage of something like that is that everyone is able to get out if they need to, rather than being blocked in.

Thanks. Its nice at these sort of events to do something with the car layout so it doesn't just look like a car park.

Another black one needed too, probably split classics into 2 and 4 door then start with the bugs - blobs - hawks - hatches

Thanks to everyone for coming along today, probably the best turnout SES have had for an event like this. Was nice that it didn't rain but the wind was certainly chilly.

I only found out at about 10am that there wasn't any drifting at this years event, which was shame as we were in a prime position to keep an eye on that

And huge thanks to Wanda for the picnic and curry pastries, hope you won't be living on Ian's ring cheese quiche all week but the name put me off having any

to Steve_PPP for today, another great SES meet, had a real buzz as we turned right at the meeting point and was met by such a fantastic line-up of Scoobies
It was a tad on the cold side but made worthwhile being with a such a great bunch of people

Very good day, good to catch up, and say hello to some new faces.

Spent most of the day pit side on the drift taxi's. Discovered my sisters next door neighbour was there with his Skyline and 200sx, few rides later, and some helping out and I'm hooked!

Really enjoyable day. Weather wasn't quite as good as promised, but stayed dry so all good! Bit disappointed that the Gobstopper II wasn't running, but still some serious machinery to watch on track.

Thanks to Steve PPP for organising. Excellent stand, nice to put some more faces to names (and cars): pity we didn't have a hatch to complete the line up!

Was a great day, really proud to have been amongst some very nice cars.

Couple of panorama shots of the stand, neither of them are complete I'm afraid don't think the camera coped with the slope we were parked on.

Believe it or not I was actually going to mention Fozzer in my previous post, but due to typing when I was half asleep I forgot.

It was the fault of sleep deprivation, not fascism, honest...

Had a great day, fantastic turnout and brilliant organisation by Steve.
Everyone involved certainly did the club proud.

Spent the day in the pits with Damien (white Legacy) and Steve (white Hatch) so didn't see any of the show other than the SES stand.

And a quick mention for Moley's bin management skills so I could park next to him, cheers fella

The BRZ got tonnes of attention, quite a few finger / palm prints on the rear quarter glass by the end of the day I'd imagine.
