Default Help on shock absorbers !

The knocking from the rear on my gb270 tells me it's time to change the shocks, however, I'm really struggling to know what to buy, or where to buy from - I'm not looking to go with coilies etc, just want to replace the shocks as cost effectively as possible.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Glenn

No, the guy that looks after all my cars has said the shocks are dead, but despite working main dealer for years etc, he cannot track what I need as shocks for the rears of a gb270 !

Download the KYB shocks catalogue:
http://www.kyb-europe.com/catalogue.asp

The Ultra-SR range is better performance than the OEM style range. I'd recommend ordering them through Camskill

Just looked at camskill's site, they used to be a KYB dealer but maybe they aren't anymore as can't seem to find them on there now. Worth giving them a call though to check....

I suspect the GB270 will have standard hawkeye WRX shocks, unless Prodrive upgraded them to bilsteins (i don't think they did on this model?).

Its the springs that determine the ride height, not shocks. The part numbers are in the KYB catalogue, or take Richard up on his offer

Thanks Steve - have tried with Richard, but he needs the 10 digit number from the shocks - if they are standard, any idea what I need to get to replace them ? I've never had so much bother with any of my Scoobs or modifications !

Pm sent to Glenn, just to let everyone else know KYB tech ask for the 10 digit number off the shock starting with 203 this number will allow them to track down the correct shock.

On a side note if anyone has any part numbers they want checking or pricing I am happy to help.
