Default Honda Hybrid

I was unlucky enough to be taken out in a 2010 Honda Hybrid today.

What a huge pile of ****

Interior is cheap thin ugly plastic, but the dials looked ok.

It was noisey, sounded like a Vauxkhall from the mid 80's.

Paintwork was dire, i would have refused it picking the car up. Major orange peel effect.

According to the driver (My customer who's Civic has gone bang) it drinks petrol and she said she can see the needle moving while motorway driving

All-in-all.......

Hybrid is NOT the way forward

Rant over

hate all of these cars, i can understand what they are trying to achieve, but they build them out of such nasty lightweight plastics and put such skinny eco-tyres on them with no grip, just designed for minimal rolling resistance.

can't help but think that if you did the same thing (lightweight interior, eco tyres etc) to a standard 2.0 diesel, you'd have far better results!

The diesels also appear to be cheaper to run too.

Apparently the Honda Insight she is using is using so much petrol, she is going to give it back next week and hire a small engine car from elsewhere

They paid for 1 weeks hire last time but she had to have it for 3 weeks. She is giving up with Honda

It's a fault with their repair from last time. Her daughter is a soliciter, so i think she will get her way in the end
