Anyone know if you have to drain the Gearbox oil to do a prop shaft removal and swap.
i.e when you pull the prop out will transmission oil come gushing out if you don't drain the gearbox first. ?. Or if you taking one out to replace with another can you get away without draining gearbox oil. Cheers |

just angle the car nose down slightly and it will help prevent any oil loss...........

have the new shaft ready to instal right away. disconnect the diff end, then do he centre bearing bofore finaly sliding the prop of the gearbox output spline. if oil does start running out (which would be slow) you con insert the new shaft quickly then do the centre bearing bolts and diff bolts and just top up the gearbox oil after
