Default Well the verdicts finally in on my car !

After a lot of waiting around I finally have a verdict on my car and im so peed off I can cry

Finally put my rad back on today and filled it up etc.

Turned the car over and it didnt sound quite right, had a mechanic friend round too, he checked and took the cap off and straight away after hearing it said the rings had gone if not the head gasket !

So the car is now on ebay for spares or repair, hoping to sell it whole if not I will break it for parts.

But I havent given up, I will be buying another one as soon as I have the money together

I WILL HAVE A DECENT SCOOBY IF IT KILLS ME !!

Many thanks to all that have helped with advice etc especially RobEvo

Off to drown me sorrows now lol

The cars on ebay, would be great if sold whole. Im in no great rush to get an engine as I wanted the saloon but got the wagon as Carl preferred it plus it was cheap and had decent parts in it.
Plus it needs some bodywork
So confused lol

Sorry to here that. If you can get sensible money for your car as is, and as sad as it is. Scoobs are so cheap now, by the time you take labour and all costs into consideration. It probabably would be cheaper to sell up and just buy a working saloon. But I'm sure you have done your sums. Good luck and hope you get back into another whatever you decide.

Well I sold the scooby last night
I got £700 for it. I now have 2 choices if I do the subaru route (which carl is trying to talk me out of it but its not working lol )
I have seen a saloon on ebay for £1000 atm which ends tomorrow I quite fancy
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

OR i have been offered another sallon that I quite like whuch is blue and mint bodywork but piston has gone, if I bought this one then I would replace the engine or rebuild.

Or do I wait and not rush into buying one of the first i see lol
