Default Hello Peeps!

Been a bit of a stranger of late . . . sorry, my bad.
Seems like everyone's ok though, have I missed much? lol

My Scoob's been off the road for a few months (since April) having been a bit poorly. The Head gaskets went but I have a feeling as I don't do many miles in it year to year it's taken a while but soon as it started running different my Brother (self employed mobile mechanic) had a look as he used to specialise in Scoobs and Evos n the like while he was living up north (no not stealing them lol) and currently has my baby in his workshop, engine out & fixing in process.

Really looking forward to getting her back especially for the winter lol

I'm uber excited about getting her back, but Ben's having trouble getting the right timing belt kit for some reason . . . so he's gotta take the belt etc with him to match it up, plus i need a new downpipe and the turbo needs re-threading so Ben's got plenty to be getting on with
It's all stripped down, heads ready to be skimmed etc . . .

I started out with a blown head gasket in febuary and mine is still off the road due to the cowboy who rebuilt it last. We done the head gaskets then drove it a mile up the road and it spun a bearing at 30mph, so engine back out and full rebuild. I have had to change EVERYTHING in the engine as it was wrong or reused out of something else ie- odd pistons reused oil pump, oil cooler cheap patten part head gaskets etc, etc. On the up side only about a week to go and i get it back

that's the one thing i dread, head gaskets going is one thing, full engine re-build would be my brother's worst nightmare but then having said that while the engine's out of mine it's having as much replaced possible, New timing kit, water pump etc etc cus my brother says it's NOT coming out again cus he just doesn't have the time to work on it when something goes wrong . . .

So worth it when i get her back though . . . you'll know what I mean, a week will be worth the wait.
