Default Top Gear back this Sunday! (29th)

For those of you who are interested, Top Gear is back this Sunday! Trailer for Season 18 can be seen by watching here:

http://transmission.blogs.topgear.co...ies-18is-back/

And a little gallery of snap shots from the season can be seen here:

http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/sne...1-20?imageNo=1

Last couple of series have been bit a lacking, so I hope this one is better. Certainly a couple of interesting looking car comparisons there (X-Bow Vs. Caterham Vs. Morgan! ) and, believe it or not, I'm quite looking forward to their feature on NASCAR.

Fully agree, wasn't that struck on the Aussie Top Gear but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the US Top Gear.

(Though I'm slightly biased in that I quite rate Foust as a driver)

Really enjoyed that, hope thats the rest of the series is at that standard.

First time in a long time that I've really liked all three cars in the test. Which one would I pick?... I do really like the look of the Lambo (and it gets bonus points for the blue flamage!) but I've always preferred the Gallardo over the Murcielago, so I'd say no to the Aventador as I'm sure a baby Lambo with the same styling is on the way.

Despite the criticism about it being too clinical I think the McLaren is an awesome bit of kit... but its the Noble that wins for me. I liked the older Nobles (especially the M400) and I like the M600 again. The grey replacement one in that film looked stunning (plus the turbo chatter sounded excellent! )

Was a good first show hope the next few are as good or better though, always worrying when the first one's a good watch....

The replacement Noble was sooooo much better looking than the broken one but still wouldn't want one

Love the Lambo because its a Lambo I suppose but if its the same build quality as the Gallardo then thats a such a let down

Leaves the Mclaren for me

I'd have to say the Lambo wins for me. Got to respect Noble's customer service skills though!

Agreed on the Lambo, looked and sounded outrageous. As for the replacement Noble, I suspect it was good 'our car is on Top Gear and has broken' customer service rather than their normal way of doing things.

That said the guy who delivered it to Hammond must have had one hell of a rip down to Italy.

One of the valves going?

Full props to Hammond for the NASCAR feature. Makes a pleasant change to see some intelligent commentary on the sport rather than the usual "its just turning left" line you normally get (usually from people who've never actually watched a full race ).

I thought the China feature could have been better (that three wheeled thing looked awesome though! ), though I think the point it made was certainly valid. Look at where the Japanese motor industry started post WWII and where that has ended up (though I guess the floodgates are not quite as open here as they were in the 70's).
