Default Computer help

I decided to upgrade the graphics card in my puter nothing special or new needed so purchased this

Problem is that it wont fit in the hole/slot because of the chuffing red cable thingys on the right of the red slotty thing.

I tried moving the red things down to the next slots but no luck, if it where mechanical no problems but I am out of my depth here any help or hints would be great.

What happened when you moved the sata (red cables) down? Else bend the top one around the bottom of the card?

You should be able to move the Red Sata cables down to the other sockets although you may have to change the drive boot order in the BIOS afterwards.

When I moved the red cables that shall now be known as sata cable the bottom of the card still wouldnt fit, I then googled sata cable and found out that they come in right angled varieties this may be the answer to the problem.

Yep, put the new gfx card in and move the red SATA cables down. if it doesn't boot windows then have a look in the BIOS for boot order or RAID config to see If something's been set wrong.

Should just work really.....but some boards have a split of standard ports and RAID ports to confuse things.
