Default Sumo Power

Has anyone had any dealings with Sumo Power in rye. I had an open source remap with slowboy but wondered what they were like if I wanted to increase power further. I know they have a rolling road but thats all I know really

with the current spec of your car the turbo is the ultimate restriction so regardless of who maps your car there is little gains to be had IMO

So really the Sti turbo is the obvious next step not a decat. Is it not so tho that with a VF34 the spool up is much slower than on the TD04. Also can you get a decent 2nd hand sti turbo as I believe about £1000 for a new one

you wont really get anything that spools as quickly as a std td04, however for the sake of a few hundred rpm you will end up worth something with far more "bang for buck"

it all depends what your after with your car, but if your chasing power/numbers then its time to move the td04 aside

For the general use it get not much high speed stuff it is the accelleration I really want this is why I was going for a decat as I've been told that cats severely hinder spool up. Also that bhp will be near the 300 mark this is obviously with map tweek as well, Does this all sound about right

..sorry to hijack your thread ...

I'm also interested in this - my Hawkeye is running ~280bhp /330lbt with the cat in the downpipe still in...

My 'when I have some cash' plan of attack is a sports decat, VF34/35 turbo, STI intercooler, walbro fuel pump. Oh and not forgetting a remap from JGM. I don't need new injectors since they are already good enough on the Hawk I understand... Then a brake upgrade!

To those in the know - does this sound fairly sensible?

Thanks,

J.
