Default New member from Hailsham

Bought my scooby last week. Changed the cambelt kit and waterpump before anything else. Its a 1995 Impreza WRX STi.

Here are some pics, will take some more soon. Just out of interest are there any members from Hailsham/Eastbourne area?

Welcome along, looks like a nice clean car.

Yep, there's a few from the Eastbourne area on here, you'll have to get yourself along to one of the meets.

Are you sure it's an STi as the rear lights are standard UK ones although it's obviously an import due to the rear wiper. Could be somebody has swapped them in the past to incorporate the rear fog light. Of course I may be entirely wrong, I'm sure one of the experts will be along to put me in my place soon.

I have joined other scooby forums and been through all this. The outside looks like a WRX, interior is STi. I have done loads of checks online with the vin number and model code and every check comes back saying its a V2 STi.

I think someone in the past has tried to make it look like a uk or a wrx so they could get cheaper insurance?

My plan is to put it back to STi standard.

Don't blame you, STi rear lights look much better, would like a set for mine but a long way down the list of things to do, other simple check would be the colour of the inlet manifold although a lot of the red paint will probably have flaked off by now.

Next meet is up near Maidstone so a bit of a trek I'm afraid although I'm sure there will be somewhere nearer your neck of the woods soon.

Welcome

Just keep an eye on our meets/events section. We rotate our pub meets around the Sussex/Surrey/Kent region (its Kent this month) but there's normally other stuff going on too.
