Agreed Scott, I think i'd run them on the car for a while and could later get them 'Lepson'd' in a darker colour if I want too.

Personally I don't think they quite suite the widetrack due to the extra width of the car (wheel arch trims), they look a little too in-set.

You just hit the nail on the head. Something is making me holdback when I look at pictures of thm on a widetrack and I think you are right. They do look more pronounced on the earlier blobs. Plus, I know that I have zero patience with these things and wont want to wait before a refurb so adding it all up its going to be knocking on a grand to do it. I think at the moment I may just laquer my current wheels and get on with getting the sports cat and decat pipe on and map sorted .

You can fit hatch optional wheels to it Steve.. They fill the arches a little bit more with an ever so slightly different offset, and with 8.5j rims and 245s there is no rubbing if you have a little camber and coilovers fitted..

Dave, I think you have the two ideal upgrade sets for a widetrack. Both the speedlines and the GT1's suit it perfectly.

Well, after thinking about it for a while ( and booking a holiday in Cyprus lol) I decided to not to buy them. Can't really justify the expense at the moment and I still really like the standard sti rims so set about refurbing and laquering them today. Really pleased with the way they look now. Not a massive amount of difference from before but they now have more of a satin finish and bit of a shine.
Before: During: and on the car: The cars taking shape now. Ordered a lower zunsports grill which should arrive this week
