Default Brands MSV Evening 7th June

Hello folks, I'm going to get the WR1 out for this evening event. Last time I went here in the WR1 I had a few little offs which was 3 years ago, see if my driving skills have improved any (probably not)

Couple of friends will be there VX220's and S2000.

Come and join the fun !

Probably a question for Rob.... what was the drive-by noise limit when you got black flagged?

This one is 98db static, 88 drive-by....

Just checked, was a 92db drive by, thought 98 a bit high, I would have been ok then!

Nice one - I need to get some tyres swapped this weekend, Federal RSR's to go on a newly powder coated set if PFF7'z.

Should give me a bit more grip than last time (when I fell off).

Mines just in need of some basic service stuff but also needs some brake lines and "better" pads than what im currently using.

I've gone for Performance Friction all round - had EBC Orange Stuff but didn't like them. They were a pig to and from the track as well as only work when hot. Will be their first outing on track as well.

I'm just going to slap a set of basic brembro pads , lines and fluid in as will be looking to upgrade the calipers of a jcw car.
This will be the minis 1st outing / shakedown so just want to go out see what's what really, then I can decide what upgrades , done this before just bought everything without actually testing the cars And upset the handiling

I’ll be spectating and arriving in the merc if anyone sees me, in work attire so probably unrecognisable.

Well I was there in a Grey Type R but it didn't pass the noise test, I think it was 100db and the limit was 98db for the eve session. When it hits the vtec bit there is boom to the note which is quite loud. Just as well I did the noise test when I arrived - went back home and got the M3. Thought about the WR1 but that has a Milltek Cat Back and I didnt want to risk not driving at all.

M3 was fun all the same. Pushed it more than I have in the past, switch DCT off briefly. Corners like druids, the DCT is pretty much kicking in the whole time, breaking on the way in and power on the way out. I need more brave pills to give it the beans on exit with no DCT. SMG works well on track as you can keep both hands on the wheel.

Scooby doo going well in the Mini.

Nice to see you chaps.

Nice Evening for it, very few amount of cars on track which allowed for lots track time,

Nick and angers M3's are stunning simply....

Was good to get some actual seat time in the mini which highlighted few key areas that need improving on,,
A rad cap was my only failure on leaving the track to set of home i could smell coolant, on inspection after letting it cool down the rad cap rubber has perished causing it to leak, refilled the header tank and was fine driving home but will order a new one today,

On average i was running a 1:01/1:02 min lap times i have no idea what i should be getting but this was the max i personally could get from it

Nice to see people too.
Beni
