autoglym in my cracks!
The white wax has got into several cracks and I can't get rid/polish it out....are there any suggestions how to get this out without removing door locks etc where its at its worst?
Also how do i get to the bits in between the lettering on the boot please? |

Maybe use Meguiars quick detailer spray and tooth brush.
Then Stop using AutoGlym. The chalk content is too high hence the white residue and dust. IMHO autoglym have been left behind in the polish/detailing world by the likes of Meguiars, PoorBoys etc..... I used to use it all the time. Only use it for tar spots now..... |

Tim, being that my cracks are black!, I used to get this all the time. Like scott said, I spray detailer onto a soft paint brush and that always does the trick I now use Blackfire products which aren't as bad with dust.

could also put some masking tape around the locks, it takes abit longer but it looks alot better once removed and saves time removeing residue

If you use a Wax or Cleanse there is very little, if any, chalk so you get very small amounts of dust. If you buff on until tacky then buff off straight away i.e on cloth in one hand, off cloth in back pocket ready to use. This on/off method also works with Autoglym and reduces the amount of dust. Allowing it to dry fully will always creat more dust. Without getting too Anal about the many products now avaialble, I would suggest Meguiars Gold Class or NTX Tech Wax. The Tech Wax works well on Black and darker colours, as does the Zymol pale blue Wax Cleanser. I primarily use Meguiars Gold Class on the bodwork and Natey's Paste Wax on the plastics, but only cause I like the smell : http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/po...e/prod_11.html |
