Default Help please loosing my patience with car

Finally come to put my engine in tonight, got it in come to bolt it to the box and the holes on the block are different to the box, the starter motor on my box has 2x holes for bolts rather than a bolt and a stud,
the the 2 bottom studs are ok, the top 2 bolts are ok but the side 2 dont match up.
The engine is a lateral 2.1 closed deck with oil under squirters,
the box is in a year 2000 classic import with box code: HC TY754VBAAA.

It might work with some adaptions to the starter fixings but unsure if the starter will line up correctly!

Thanks

From memory all you have to do is drill the hole out where the stud is & it will line up. You only need the 2 bottom nuts & the top 3 bolts as the CDB didn't have the extra holes in.

Hope that helps.

Dan

Thanks for the help, I think I've worked out I need to
cut a thread into the bottom hole in the box that holds the
starter motor and put a stud in to hold the starter in,
the top bolt lines up with the block, hoping the starter will
engage and disengage ok! Fingers crossed

Yep getting there, a few mishaps on the way like
the cambox covers I bought were for a v3 sti had them all
sprayed up then discovered the v6 ones are different
so got to get the new ones sprayed before I can Finnish off.
I will post up a thread when I've got some spare time.

Think I will take it to jrm when it's back on the road
to get set up, looks awesome down there

re the spring, if I send you some money would you be able
to post it to me? Thanks
