Default The evo is dead

After long negotiations-with an insurance company that actually listens I'm letting the EVO go I've never been in a car that handles the way that did & with 550bhp it wasn't to shabby on the straights eighther. Some of you will be glad it's gone as its not a Scoob. 3years work & £30 k went into this car. The ins engineer could see the value & priced it about right.

Now then what to buy next?

Sad to hear mate .
Don't go German unless it's a porka , M3 will bore the pants off you inside of a couple of months .
I take it you couldn't get the car as well in a deal . Could break it for big money .

It's a shame you & I didn't get the opportunity of having the crack together somewhere.

I'm sure you will end up with something special again

Gutted for you, Nige. I do hope you'll find a car that you will love at least as much as you loved your EVO if not more. Wishing you all the best of luck for your search.

Thats a shame nige, it was a stonking car that quite honestly was on a different level, I will never forget the trip to germany in 2010 on those roads to dover, brutal overtaking!. Good luck with whatever is next.

well at least you're happy with the evaluation the insurance engineer made as that could have been a big issue if he had not !

That's how a great car is meant to go (with a dizzy git behind the wheel)
Some might know I had the diff controller mapped by one of the guys over on the dark side. The map was bespoke to my driving style & allowed for stupid corner speeds. it even helped with the brakes. I had three settings one for Brands one for the Nubugring & another set for rear end bias.
When in brands mode with the suspension set up correctly & 888's all warmed up the bloody thing was amassing. More like a go kart on turn in than a car.
Now people will ask "how the hell did you crash it then" I've only ever driven this car really with 888's on & I decided to try another well known brand. My own fault I didn't give them time to warm up. I also just changed my arb setting to hardest. Not thinking I was pushing on really & the combination of the above didn't help. I was so surprised it moved let alone going sideways towards a tree. Anyway onwards & I don't know about upwards as yet. Im looking though.
