Default boost gauge problem or turbo problem??

hi guys!! ive heard that the boost gauge when idle should be in the minus or vacuum side!! mine seems to be on zero or just below. the boost gauge came with the car and isnt the best, im getting a new prosport boost gauge next month just in case it is the gauge.

does anybody think its a problem anywhere else i.e the turbo, or could it be just the gauge

i believe the turbo is the standard wrx td04, all tho i was told it had a bigger turbo when i brought the car but i dont believe this cos of a number of reasons..

the turbo seems to boost fine if this helps at all..

thanks sam (2005 wrx)

0 when the engines off, negative when at idle not sure what the std boost on the WRX is I think it should be around 0.7

the turbo has no effect on the car at idle so its potentially a faulty gauge or not plumbed right
