Default Anyone for oil?

This turned up at work today, I don't have a drink problem, I promise!

(It's cutting fluid for those who want to know...)

I used it for ages, low detergent and soot levels asside..
They have been very evasive dealing with this, Rich has had 2 bottles like this now, they refused to even respond to him until he posted pics on their twitter feed. (he gave them more than a weeks grace too)
they offered to replace the oil.
Needless to say it does not melt back down with heat and if this got in your engine would easily block oil galleys and pickup pipe.

Its what comes in Millers cfs 10w40 and 10w60 as standard now apparently
I stopped using it a while back but this is the second set of pics I've been sent from another different bottle (diff batch numbers etc)

From my last conversation about it, it was being sent for private chemical analysis.

Just serviced mine with Millers CFS 5/40 ! first time of using Millers and went with it on Alyn's recommendation i'm pretty sure he would not be recommending it and or stocking it if he knew there was problems with it.....

All looked good pouring it in and didnt see any 'jelly' in my funnel filter

fingers crossed its all good

I used the 5w/40 nanotech on my last change and it's been fine. Might skip millers on the next change though. Hopefully it's an isolated problem that'll soon be sorted.

having dealt with Millers Motorsport for best part of 20yrs (and still do) we have never come across anything like this??
also not aware of any other issues

would be very intrigued where this has come from as like all things not everything is always as genuine as it appears.......

I think millers have admitted that this can happen, and said it would breakdown under heat, apparently this doesnt help!

Hi Alyn, both lots came from 2 different suppliers according to Rich, I can find out which, as mentioned above millers said
It would break back down with heat, but this simply isn't the case. I'll ask rich to see if he can forward you the correspondence between himself and millers.
