Default British Rallycross Championship R7 2018 – Lydden Hill

Bit later than planned, but I was away last weekend, so I only just got round to uploading a few pictures from the British Rallycross Championship round at Lydden last month.

Steve Harris drove his stunning Rennison liveried RS200 in the Retro Rallycross class.

It’s a three way fight for the Supercar title this year, with Mark Higgins, Ollie O’Donovan and Julian Godfrey all in contention.

Ray Morgan annihilating another set of tyres!

Kevin Procter should be a multiple event, if not title, winner at this point. Sadly luck has not been on his side and he still seems to be chasing gremlins in his Fiesta. When it’s working though, it’s a bloody rapid car.

BTCC driver Tom Onslow-Cole was one of several guest drivers in the RX150 buggies. He was (predictably) rather quick and eventually finished second.

The Junior Swift class has been one of my least favourite the last few years, but they have a bigger field this year and the racing has been great: very close and clean(ish).

Steve Harris exiting North Bend the wrong way round!

Roger Thomas was highly entertaining in his Metro 6R4, but he couldn’t quite match the speed of the RS200.

Ollie O’Donovan won the race on track, but was subsequently given a two second penalty and demoted to second. With the win given to Higgins the Championship is still very close and the last two rounds should be entertaining.

If you want to see any more!

I got a few, but nothing particularly exciting: he didn't seem as sideways as usual!

Another one of Ray for you:
