Default Turbo engage...

Morning all,

Just wondered - on a standard 2002 bugeye - when is the turbo meant to kick in?

Mine tends to kick in at about 4000rpm - which seems a little late to me...

Id have thought it would be nearer 2500-3000rpm?

Mine car is completely standard besides a rear back section exhaust.

Its off to the rolling road meet on Sat, so sure they will tell me how bad things are

Just curious.

Ryan

Sounds late, but the power run will show what's going on boost-wise definitively yes.

Probs a sticky/lazy wastegate...unless the car has been mapped to come on later I suppose.

Thanks for all the info... I still feel it should come in sooner but the dyno run yest proved me wrong - running 281.1bhp and to my knowledge it only has a back box and air filter?!?!? Charlie said everything else is spot on running perfectly so I'm pleased about that
