Default Budget Tyres
I have a mixture of tyres fitted to the new scoob. Anyone have any experience of either or recommendations.

Front 1 x Triangle TR968, 1 x Sagitar P607
Rear 2 x Sagitar P607

All tyres have good tread. 235/40/ZR18

Maybe have the geometry at least checked when you fit some new ones too!

Burn them!

You just need to look at tyre tests to see how poorly they perform - you can probably not notice much difference on lighter and lower performance cars but on that we'll specd scoob you'll notice a massive difference. It's just the cost of buying a set of decent tyres that's the painful bit....

As long as it's not raining, I'll be driving very slowly to the meet this Sunday

I was looking at camskills site earlier today. Saw the Eagle F1 & looked at Hankooks too. Just need to fix a few more computers to pay for them now

not bad...although i managed to get my hankooks delivered and fitted for less but the F1's are a good tyre for sure.
What are you going to use the car for? if its a weekend plaything stretch to some yoko advans?

I'm a Falken fan, have them on the Scoob 225/35x18 (FK452) and the SEAT 235/35x19 (FK453) which are a newer tread pattern.
Ran Toyo's for 10 years and TBH can't tell much difference to the Falkens which come in a bit cheaper.

There's quite a bit of choice out there and depends if you want something that'll be good on track.

For a bit of both, you can't go wrong with Vredestein Sessantas, Hankook V12 Evos, Falkens, Goodyear Eagle F1s etc.

I was very impressed with the tyres Wagon_Si got before Germany (yoko ad08's i think). Very grippy in the dry but was surprised how much grip they had following him at Brands in the rain too. Think thats what i'll be going for next....

AD08s 235/40/18s = £186.00 each they should be good you only get what you pay??

+1 fitted to my car.. really good on track in the wet too

You could try some Dunlop DZ03G if your feeling really flush and your only going to use it on sunny days./track days.

I would fit what you have at the moment to some rope and hang them from tree's at the local zoo..but that would be unfair to the ape's! get shot of it.

yeah git the ad08's on mine, they take a good 1000 miles to get them bedded in properly, since i git back from Germany they just seem to get stickier and stickier, though the last Brands session started to find the limit, but i still have geometry and tyre pressures to play with a bit.

i was surprised when the rain meister aka Steve said he had a bit of trouble following me through Clearways.

Just look at the new official classifications of the tyres

AD08s = wet A
Goodyear F1s = wet A
Vredestiens = wet C

So much of this also comes down to personal choice and driving styles.
