Default Car Plans 2015

So any ideas of what you might do to the car?

For me it will mainly paintwork and getting rid of dents. Unless I come into some decent money then that will be it other than general maintenance.

  • Front End gravel rash removal. Something I have been meaning to do since about 2010.
  • Rear arch rust removal. Which really annoys and surprises me considering the life this car had lead.
  • TD05-18G Billet
  • Start underbody refresh

I think this might be the year mine goes too.

I'll have had it four years in February and I reckon it might be time to try something else... V8 based hopefully.

We'll still have Mrs Stig's Impreza though...!

Hopefully not too much to do this year on the car, its cost me enough lately!

Only possible plan might be a second set of wheels and some track rubber

Pass the MOT, and replace disks.

Then refit & relocate oil cooler, tidy up the engine bay, refurbish wheels, and sort out suspension (MOT advisory on springs so either replace with new BC springs and possible shock rebuild or go for Bilstein B6 shocks and H & R springs)

If funds allow, new turbo.

Bug - Been a little unloved lately, so new exhaust, VF35, pinks/hawkblues, new rear suspension, general tidy up.

V1 - Car park dinks, ecu swap.

Landy - 200TDI engine

R1NGO - Actually do something this year.

Not much planned for mine.

On my wish list is,
Get Liz back on the road, serviced and mot'd
Front, side skirts and rear bumper sprayed on the Wagon.
Front brakes refurbished and wheels on the Wagon painted.
Front end refresh on the blob and sort an annoying windscreen chip courtesy of last year's ring trip oh and drive it more than once a year

Either:

Keep it and try and get done what I've wanted to for the past two years or Mot it and sell it. 50/50 at the moment.

Have a small list of things I have planned, most of them to coincide with my first trip to the ring!

Cambelt and tensioners etc.

Possibly clutch as not sure how long the current one has been in the car, feels good though!

New front pads suitable for the Ring, any ideas on the best of both worlds (road & track) people...?

Rear anti roll bar and drop links

Possibly front anti roll bar and drop links

Re-spray and fit the front bumper currently in the way in the garage at my parents!

Fit the front splitter 'Santa' got me for Christmas

Would like a decent head unit however budget and the performance parts come first!

Minor service, keep it clean, tidy up body/wheels...

And that should be about it, although I want to fit some coilovers too as my biggest desire, question is do I murder the credit card or not

Just had a look at some of those Si, seem like a good choice. I have spoken to E too and he has suggested the same pad, will look in to fluids also.

Forgot to mention braided brake lines on my list too...

I didn't like the pf's compared to ferrodo ds2500 for day to day use. But you do pay more for the ferrodo.

trouble with ds2500 you have to make sure you wash your wheels all the time as the pad dust is corrosive, or atleast when i used to use them years ago.
