By a black Astra VXR on the A27 last night. He was cracking and banging like a rally car and there is me nearly standard. still gave him a good run but just run out of puff at top end. Poor little TD04. hope i find him again when mapped and the VF is on

You got beaten by a vauxhall , it might be the one with the £25k engine rebuild plus all the rest of the work as it was done by regal of southampton, if so it kicks out 415bhp and its a friend of my bosses

well if it was at 415 would of thought he would of left me for dead but than again he could have just been toying with me

You have to watch out for some of these hot hatches these days. With not too much work can be kicking out a good 270/280bhp without drivetrain losses of AWD too.

In the wet they dont have a chance though

dont worry, i nearly got done by an astra coupe (bertone job) at the lights when i was caught napping and had a serious case of the turbo lag lol. I soon set it right on boost though!

One of the first stage mods on the vxr takes it to 270ish so you would need over 300bhp in the Scoob just to keep up. Best leave it to the tight twisty bits its fun watching them in your rear view understeering all over the place.

If it was the one I have seen under the bonnet then he was, wait till I get the picture of the engine bay and you will see the size of the turbo, it is a beast from what I have been told about what it will eventually do.
