Default Audi A3 ESP light

My Mums 2006 Audi A3 has the ESP light on permanently at the moment, anybody have any experience of this fault accross the V.A.G range of vehicles. I'm guessing it's a sensor somewhere but heard mention of Brake light switch failure as well.

Also if it needs a diagnostics check could it be done at a Seat or Skoda dealer as their labour charges are a lot cheaper.

Any help appreciated.

Yep usually the brake pedal position switch that will cause it to stay on. If you need it diagnosed I have a scanner that will do it.
