Default MAF sensor issues ..i think!

IM LOST!! when i start my 97 wrx sti jdmit is hunting then eventually levels out .. then as the car warms up it gradually gets worse and starts to judder , run rich , stall, could this be the MAF sensor playing up? a garage i took car to said that on monitoring it was fine till it got hot then figures showed really rich running for no rreason and popping up maf fault code with a voltage of 5.5 or something! any ideas anyone??is the mechanic right?? just dont really want to throw more money finding out it colud just be changed !!

Checked that all your vacuum pipes are still conected and not split anywhere?

Im sure a few peeps here have a MAF you could use to test your theory.

Does this not have some thing to do with lambda sensor..?

Sounds like MAF to me, especially if your gettin CEL code for it, ask about maybe some1 has a spare you can swap over to try,
