Default Rear strut braces- worth it?
Hi guys, now I know I'm finally picking up the car on Tuesday, I am compiling a shopping list and wondered, is a rear strut brace worth having?

Opinions please

I'd have thought anything like that will improve the stiffness of the car. They look cool also

I find they improve things.

Got one on the FSTi and Impreza wagon. In my opinion you can clearly tell the difference.

Can't say about saloons, but seems reasonable to expect similar results!

What's more effective for handling, uprated droplinks and arb's or a rear upper strut brace?

droplinks/rear arb will make a much bigger improvement....

With the WR1 the standard drop links are fine.

The best single upgrade I have is the 24 mm ARB, make sure also get the uprated mounts, and connect the drop links to the middle setting.

I've just bought cdf racing droplinks, a 20mm front arb and a 24mm arb. Didn't want to only change the back after reading stories of lift oversteer. Just need time to fit them now. Hadn't thought about a rear brace.

I am certainly no expert.

I have been told mine handles very as it is, it all comes down to personal preferences alot of the time.

A stiffer rear ARB, upper strut brace and subframe locking bolts are all money well spent at the back end in my opinion.
