Default VSCC Pomeroy Trophy, Silverstone 16 Feb

I'm doing the Pom again on Saturday - it's free to come and spectate if anyone fancies it. 110 cars entered, from 1920 to present day. Will send some pics and videos later!

Ouch... that’s a big hit and a bit tough to look at. Hope you are in one piece and un-injured, you must be gutted...

Thanks, a bit bruised and battered, hopefully that's all. The car is thoroughly dead though 😫

Will be taking it home and taking off any good bits before scrapping the shell, definitely not worth repairing.

Gutted doesn't come close 😭

It was a slalom test on the national (old start/finish) straight, so the concrete pit wall on the right. Was turning to go left round a cone, the back end snapped out and when I turned to correct, the wall was there. Doing just over 40 mph on impact. I've got it on video and it happens really fast.

No track day insurance, and if I'd had it and claimed, the increased premiums would have wiped out whatever they'd have given me for the car. Both airbags went off so it'd be a write off.

Just been to collect the car and take it home, thinking I might try to get another wagon and swap the good bits onto it, then scrap the rest.

It must be a wagon thing, luckily i hit a tyre wall and not concrete. Exactly same thing happened, back snapped out, then wall.

Glad you’re ok, thats the important bit.

Bugger

Glad you're ok and looking to swap all the good bits onto another shell. It's the risk we take every time we go on track I guess.
