Default Taking pics of my scuffed bumper

Have been trying to take a few pictures of my scuffed bumper to forward to sprayers, but finding it impossible. All I get is reflections in the paintwork. Have tried in different light conditions and on different camera settings, close up, auto, etc, all without success. Anybody got any ideas, thanks.

Can you mask of the bodywork with a non reflective material?

Sounds counterintuitive, but have you tried taking photos in the dark using a flash? You may need to play with the angle and distance you are taking the photo from, to get the right level of reflection/minimise whiteout, but you may be able to pick out the scratched part from the background this way?

Alternatively, the image-processing software on the iPhone seems very good at picking up blemishes against a constant background - again, subject to getting the right angle/reflection.

Mask the area around the scuff leaving only the scuff showing, might work?

Maybe you have to process the photo after that, in order to see the desired area?

A polarising filter should get rid of reflections... or try holding a pair of polarised sun/glasses in front of the camera (you may need to rotate the glasses ro find the best angle to get least reflections).
